Seeking research participants who are

1） Hong Kong residents who have considered emigrating from Hong Kong or

2） former Hong Kong residents who have already emigrated from Hong Kong

to participate in a survey (40HKD) and/or an interview (80HKD/hour)

Hello! I am Jacob Thomas （唐龍） an American professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Sociology (https://www.soc.cuhk.edu.hk/profile/thomas-jacob/). I am recruiting survey and interview participants for a research study. This study is approved by CUHK’s Survey and Behavioural Research Ethics committee (study reference number SBRE-21-0262). The aim of the research is to better understand the differences between those who emigrated from Hong Kong and those who have considered emigrating but have not yet done so, as well as understand why some people have emigrated from Hong Kong but others who considered emigrating have not yet emigrated (project website: www.hkemigrationproject.space ). If 1) you are a resident of Hong Kong who once thought/considered emigrating from Hong Kong or 2) you are a former HK resident who has emigrated to another country, I would like you to complete an anonymous and confidential online Qualtrics survey. The survey link is https://cuhk.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4JCZ55PGhdyaozc If you are also willing to interview, I or one of my Hong Konger research assistants would also like to interview you in English or Cantonese (camera off and using a pseudonym if you prefer) in Skype, zoom, Facetime or any other platform you prefer, whenever you are free during the coming months.
