How We Protect Our Project Participants

Measures to Protect the Anonymity and Confidentiality of Participants and their Data

Your Privacy Matters to Us

My research team and I acknowledge the sensitivity of the chosen research topic and prioritize the anonymity and confidentiality of our research participants and the information they provide. In accordance with our standard academic protocol, we have implemented the several measures to ensure the security and privacy of your data and information that we describe on our project website:

• Your raw data will be anonymized/de-identified with a randomly generated six-character string rather than your name
• Your data will not shared to external parties outside of our core research team
• Your data will be part of a 1000+ person data set
• Your data will be stored on password protected secure computers and 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)-encrypted cloud drives
• Our data storage protocol follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• The data you share with the interviewer and I, as the Principal Investigator, will remain confidential

If you have any additional questions about the research protocol, please contact me at:
